Insects have made many appearances in our homeschool curriculum. Mainly due to the fact that they’re easily acquired and easy to care for and observe. There were the mealworms, then there was the moth we hatched. We’ve examined ants and aphids under the microscope. We came across a gigantic millipede on a road trip, and a beautiful green praying mantis in our yard.

We were buggin’ out again for homeschool science last week. We learned about rolypolies.

Brother built a maze/playground for them to navigate through. All the rolypolies came from our own yard and were returned there when we were done.
